Le Ali del Frassino: A Commitment to Sustainability and Biodiversity

A concrete commitment to biodiversity protection, environmental sustainability and a plastic-free future.

Le Ali del Frassino, nestled in the heart of the Laghetto del Frassino Natural Oasis, continues to stand out for its dedication to environmental conservation and the promotion of sustainable practices. The surrounding area, recognized as a Special Protection Zone (ZPS) and part of the Natura 2000 network, hosts a unique ecosystem rich in biodiversity, as well as a significant archaeological heritage from the Bronze Age, acknowledged by UNESCO.

A Commitment to Protecting Nature

Over the years, our resort has implemented a series of concrete initiatives to safeguard this extraordinary territory. Key actions include:

Biodiversity Conservation

  • Creation of an organic vineyard with traditional tree-supported vines to enhance the agricultural ecosystem.
  • Planting of 400 native trees and protection of ancient trees within the oasis, including a rare 200-year-old pear tree.
  • Installation of pollinator shelters and bat houses, essential for maintaining ecological balance.
  • Care and protection of the reed bed, a crucial habitat for bird nesting.
  • Rotational grass cutting, preserving wildflowers and protecting insects and small mammals.

 Sustainable Architecture
The Belvedere Suites, built in 2018, are designed using natural materials and feature sedum green roofs with solar panels, ensuring a reduced environmental impact and seamless integration with the surrounding landscape.

 Towards a Plastic-Free Future
Le Ali del Frassino has taken significant steps towards eliminating single-use plastic:

  • Paper cups in guest rooms and the spa.
  • Eco-friendly courtesy sets, using sustainable packaging.
  • Reduction of plastic bottles, replaced with reusable alternatives.
  • Paper straws and eco-friendly polymer glasses for the pool area.

 Certifications & Recognitions
Thanks to its commitment to sustainability, the resort has received the Biodiversity Friends certification from the World Biodiversity Association and is currently working towards achieving the prestigious ESG certification, further reinforcing its dedication to responsible resource management.

Le Ali del Frassino is more than just a resort: it is a model of sustainable hospitality, where the beauty of the land is paired with a responsible vision for the future.
