Le Ali del Frassino featured in La Repubblica
A story of hospitality, nature and vision born in the heart of Lake Garda
We are delighted to share the feature that La Repubblica has dedicated to Le Ali del Frassino in the 2025 edition of “Le Guide ai Sapori e ai Piaceri”, this year entirely devoted to Peschiera del Garda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
An issue celebrating the region’s finest expressions of culture, gastronomy, and hospitality, with a special focus on the history and philosophy of our resort through an interview with our founder Claudio Orlandini.
The Vision of Ristoclassique and the Soul of Le Ali del Frassino
In the article, Claudio Orlandini retraces the origins of the Ristoclassique Group, a project that unites restaurants and resorts under one guiding philosophy: elegance, authenticity, and a deep connection to the territory.
From the opening of the first restaurant in Lazise to the creation of Le Ali del Frassino, every step has been guided by the desire to design spaces that dialogue with nature and enhance the surrounding landscape.
Today, Le Ali del Frassino, known as The Nature’s Way Resort, represents the pinnacle of this vision — a place where hospitality meets sustainability, set within an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Officers’ Pavilion: Architecture, History and Renewal
The article dedicates special attention to the Officers’ Pavilion, a symbol of restoration and rebirth that has brought new splendour to a once-abandoned historic building.
Thanks to a respectful and visionary renovation, carried out in collaboration with Crestoni Costruzioni and architect Alfredo Pasquetto of Studio Loa Lithos, the Pavilion now stands as a refined venue where architecture and nature coexist in perfect harmony.
A tangible example of how the philosophy of Ristoclassique translates into creations that combine beauty, functionality, and environmental respect — spaces that speak of both history and future.
The Oasi del Frassino: Natural Heritage and Ancient Memory
The guide also includes an in-depth feature on the pile-dwelling archaeological site of the Oasi del Frassino, part of the “Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps”, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This area of remarkable historical and scientific value has revealed, through archaeological excavations, traces of Bronze Age villages — evidence of a profound and ancient bond between humankind and water.
Today, the Oasi is a protected habitat, classified as a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and a Special Protection Area (SPA), home to numerous species of flora and fauna, and a haven for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
